In September, 1948, Antoni and Antonina moved into their new home, ‘Marzenie’. As it was completed, ‘Marzenie’ was occupied in stages. Antonina settled her father and her husbands’ family in the basement in 1948. In Wola Justowska, the Krakow village suburb where their home was located, she could give them a better life than in their home town. Like a mother hen gathering her chicks under the security and safety of her wings, she protected and watched over her family. In 1949, the first floor was complete and she sought out a good family with two small boys about the age of her daughter Ewa, in need a good home. The communists would settle undesirable drunks, thieves, thugs, vagrants or lazy people in any unoccupied floor, room or apartment. What an ungodly principle! A system that forces the Most High God to indirectly bless evil people who reject His holy principles of Life is a distortion of the good intentions of God. God promises to bless his people with prosperity but for the wicked He has reserved judgement to reap the empty rewards of their ungodly labor and behavior. God never intended for his people to suffer for their righteous works. Nor did He intend that they share the fruits of their labor with those ungodly, slothful and evil servants who otherwise reap the emptiness they have sewn. We are to help the widows, orphans or poor who cannot provide for themselves by the righteous works of their hands. God promises that we shall reap what we have sewn. This is an eternal principal of the immutable Law of the Most High God. The myth of communism and socialism is that all (lazy and productive workers) receive the same wage. Since the lazy contribute nothing, while the productive create wealth, the zero contribution of the lazy reduces the productivity of the productive worker, thus reducing the amount of increase which is to be distributed equally to all workers. This system will always result in a minimum wage and poverty of the masses. Though Antoni and Antonina had their dream house, their ability to maintain and keep it became a nightmare under the forcefully imposed Russian redistribution system of government. Prosperity is penalized! Personal wealth is confiscated! The wealth creators are stymied, prevented from initiating ideas and businesses which would improve the lives of citizens and provide jobs for workers. In the early fifties the boa constrictor of communist collectivism was squeezing the economic life out of rich and poor alike. The rich became poor and the poor became poorer. A livable wage became a minimum wage. The east European nations under communist domination were poor. Western Europeans were buying automobiles but the best eastern Europeans could afford under communist control was a horse. The only hope to improve their lives was to escape to a free economy which enabled their creative abilities and desires to produce the fruits of their labors. Antoni and Antonina lived in the midst of Polish poverty. They were struggling to get by on the communist minimum wage. It was hopeless and many quit the struggle and gave up, losing all their wealth. Many succumbed to alcoholism drowning their hopelessness in the cheap vodka the communists eagerly provided to numb the despondent citizens trapped in a tyranny that reduced every contribution to the Polish economy to the minimum wage. Antoni and Antonina struggled to finish their home. Antonina covered the windows of the second floor with bricks until it was finished to make it appear that the second floor was uninhabitable until they could move in. She feared that the communists would move someone else into their home before they could inhabit it. In 1949 the second floor was complete and they moved into it. The family was settled in their dream home, ‘Marzenie’ but a life long struggle of poverty was to plague them and all of east Europe and Ukraine until the financial collapse of the communist Union of Soviet Socialists Republic. God blessed Antoni and Antonina and enabled them to raise their children under the duress of the communist minimum wage.
