His Only Begotten Son
Ewa, My Kochana,
There was a man who had two beautiful daughters but he had no sons. He had asked God for a son for many years. In the fourteenth year, he called out to the Most High God in great grief of soul. He complained because God had not given a son. He heard the voice of God in reply telling him that he would soon have a son. Forty weeks after the promise, a son was born to him. He was named John, meaning gift of God. As the child grew, he became much like his father. Even as a youngster, John thought for himself, just as his father drew his own conclusions after deep consideration. When John was small, he would go into his parents bedroom, slip under the covers on his fathers side of the bed, and go to sleep. When his father discovered him missing, he found him in his fathers’ bedroom asleep on his side of the bed. (Often he would call to his father to play his favorite ‘Kenny Rodgers’ cassette while he fell asleep) . He tucked the covers about his son and kissed him, leaving John in his bed until he was ready to sleep. It was fitting and proper that his only begotten son sleep in his bed, on his side of the bed in perfect peace and comfort. A strong bond developed between father and son. The son often said he wanted to be just like his father when he grew up. The father took great pleasure in his only begotten son. God was pleased and the man was blessed. This is a true story of an emptiness filled by a God of love for an earthly man who desired a son. All things are possible through faith in the Most High God. God, himself yearned for a son of man who could redeem, reclaim and restore a lost creation, usurped from man by the most low lucifer, the devil and satan (the evil names spelled without capitals is always intentional). When the angel appeared to the Virgin Mary and she said, ‘Let it be unto me as you have said”, the Spirit of God entered her and she was with child of the holy spirit. The child, Jesus, that she birthed was the son of God. He was his only begotten son. As a child, Jesus slept in his fathers bed, in the Fathers’ side of the bed in perfect peace and comfort. He was one with the father. The Father was one with him. As he grew to manhood, he became more and more like his heavenly father. The Father was pleased with Jesus. When Jesus was baptized, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased.” When Jesus began his earthly ministry, he had become just like his heavenly father, but sadly scripture records that ‘he came unto his own but his own received him not.’ How could they reject him? They knew the Law of Moses but they did not know God. Jesus said, “If you had known me you would have known my father also and from henceforth you know him and have seen him.” For Jesus to say anything else would have been to deny God, his father. Because he was just like his heavenly Father, Jesus lived a sinless life and was worthy to give his life as a sacrifice for us when as yet we were still lost hopelessly in sin. Let us give thanks and praise to the Holy Creator Father God and Jesus Christ, his only begotten son.
The resurrected Christ lives. Because he lives, we are alive in him forever, Kochany
