The House on the Rock
My always inquisitive Ewa,
Do you remember our trip to the sprawling House on the Rock in Spring Green Wisconsin? The enigma of the house on the rock is that even in the final state, one has the feeling that it is still incomplete. Rather than a plan to completion, the structure has no finality or closure of thought. The original owner just continued to build and add more rooms which had to be filled with something. We spent three hours in the sprawling structure of additions and nausea. The repeatition of two basic themes of music, and circus were boring yet one was captivated by the antiques, musical instruments, headlines and dolls of generations past. When we built our home we had a planned finish date and a mental picture of what the completed house would be. Even though we planned to live in our home for many years, we expected only to occasionally update and maintain it. I’m glad our life is patterned after our home rather than the house on the rock. Our home and life together require a solid base for present and future days. Though God’s plans for us are perpetual and changing, He is unchangeable and each step is finalized in a glorifying and meaningful way. Though not always apparent, there is an unseen guiding force of the Most High God in the fabric of our lives. We (the Lord and you) weave our preferences and designs into the spiritual fabric of the Most High God, when we align our will with The Lord, but the basic holy fabric of life remains perfect in His eternal purpose, unblemished by the misguided and/or evil intents of man. The Ewa portion of this eternal life fabric (your life on earth and in heaven) is unique in patterns, thoughts, ideas and emotions which are complimentary to me, your husband, and a multitude of believers who comprise the totality of the finished work at the end of time. When we grasp the understanding of a new challenge, he continues our charachter enhancement (we are to be like God in His Son Jesus Christ) with another growth challenge. He sees our improvement as a step in finishing and perfecting our home (our bodies are His home on earth when we are in agreement with Him)in the theme of holiness, righteousness and truth, rather than a hodge podge of accidental associations, ideas and thoughtless deeds and chance occurrences. He has made us part of His plan and wonder of wonders, He also allows us to contribute to the content of the finished product. That’s why we were created, to be active participants in the Creative power of His holy nature. Our love is a house on the rock of an all powerful, all loving and all knowing God who has delivered us from frivolous and wasteful black hole ideas which only serve to drain us of energy and suck the life out of us. His plan is right for us just as we are right for each other.
Grateful for the solid rock of God and our love, Kochany
