The scene reminded me of what our Lord Jesus Christ told Peter and Andrew, “You shall be fishers of men.” Our Lord always speaks in familiar terms to His children. You and I were caught in the tender net of Jesus’ love when we answered his call to ‘come to him.’ When the disciples asked Jesus where he was going, he replied, “come and see.” Contrary to being caught in the net of death as were the fish I witnessed from the shore, we were caught up and into life everlasting.
We and all others like us were freed from the chains of the slavery of sin and taken out of a prison (holding tank) of evil, where we were subject to certain death, and released into our intended holy habitat. As it were, we are restored to the estate our Creator Father envisioned. To be caught by Christ is to be released into life, and that in fullness and joy. Knowing that you are His own even as I am his own, pleases me beyond words. It is written that ‘we shall be like him.’ As we become more like him in our earthly walk, you become even more beautiful. Only God in his Son could make you more beautiful to me than you already are. Be strong and of good courage in your walk with Christ, and know that my prayers are ever with you. Let us rejoice and lift our voices in praise to our Savior for we are abundantly blessed in love.
Constantly thinking of you, In love, Kochany
