We live in a plastic world in a politically correct society with a false sense of security. The governments of the world print currency, none of which is backed by gold or silver. The US dollar at one time boasted that the currency could be redeemed for a stated amount (most reccently $32 per ounce). In the 1970’s the US government began issuing currency backed by only the ‘full faith and credit’ of the United States Government. Such currency is fiat currency which is essentially a form of taxation. Inflation is the printing of money, not rising prices. Rising prices is a consequence of printing money out of thin air. Stated another way, value is only equal to the amount of real money (goods produced, services & savings) in the system. If an item is produced for $7 and sells for $10, these are all real costs which generate real prices. If the government prints 100% more money to fund projects which the country can’t afford, then technically they have reduced the value of money. Now you have a money supply which is half real and half phony (not worth the value printed on the currency). Since each dollar of currency is only 1/2 real, the true value per unit of currency, is only 50 cents. The real costs of production remain the same but the inflated money supply prices in the fact that the currency is now debased so the selling price of the product moves from $10 to $20 and the production cost moves from $7 to $14. Most of what we see around us in the modern world is fiat love. The value of the relationship is tied to the financial benefits, station in life, pride of accomplishment and social standing the union brings the the two parties. When riches, societal advancement and accomplishment thrive, it appears as if the love is deep. This is fiat love, i.e., a pseudo-love dependent upon a continued inflationary false high material riches. Like a dope addict, fiat love requires a higher infusion of drugs to induce the next high, which is never as high as the last high. It is a downward spiral which gives a stupor of happines but never the satisfaction of completeness. None of these things affects or influences true love, for true love is the a real gold love which is its own reward. (The unseen things are the real things.) That’s why I fell in love with you my kochana Eve. From the beginning we both knew that our love gave value to everything else, and that it was not riches and success that gave value (this is fiat love) to our love. Because I have you and you have me, the trappings of riches and success have no impact on our relationship, rather what we have is made more dear to us because we attained it together. It has been and always will be each other and our love first unconditionally, with no mental reservations. God brought us together, we nourished the seed of love which He gave for our blessing and His glory and we daily cleave to Him, His Way and one another in peace, satisfaction and completness. We give thanks and supplication for the real love which our Lord God has given us for fiat love is worse than fiat currency.
