A Few Extra Winks This Morning

My sleepy head Eve,

I like to wake my Eve in the morning, but occasionally she needs a few extra winks of sleep before rising to bless her world with that smile painted on the palette of my heart. Surely her smile is a ‘Mona Lisa’ work of art to my soul. God did good when her created her and He did the best when He brought my Kochana Eve to me as our very own. He never relinqueshed His posession of her but instead chose to share her with me and thereby gave us joy unspeakable. She is the night owl at evening and I am the rooster each sunrise. This morning she wants a few extra winks so I will make our coffee and bring hers to her in bed. I always get an appreciative kiss before she takes her first sip. That’s a great start for my day as we chat while she finishes her ‘eye opener’. She was an ‘eye opener’ when we first met and the sight of her beside me when I rise each morning is my daily ‘eye opener’ more necessary than my morning coffee. Coffee starts my morning but my waking ‘eye opener’ sustains me through the day. As I make our coffee this morning I thank our Lord for her presence in my life while my Kochana is catching a few extra winks of sleep.
