We’re Perfect for Each Other

My Eve, answer to my prayers,

Until I met you I was looking for a perfect woman and attempting to be the perfect man to be worthy of that woman. When God brought you to me, my eyes were opened and the road to perfection became a life walk and not an instant reality, with you as my partner, confidant, friend, and wife. As we have travelled each day, the peaks, valleys and plateaus of emotion and reason, it is apparent that neither of us is perfect. Our logic is limited by experience, knowledge and judgement, all of which are fallible and incomplete. But our love is complete. Our trust in each other is absolute. Our doubts and fears are fortified by the unfailing and undying love that has developed over the years, and we give thanks for the uncertainty which we overcame to move on to an even higher plateau of devotion and confidence in our marriage which is fraught with human weakness and frailty. You love me, even though you, more than any other human alive know all my imperfections. You know me as no other and you choose to stand with me and identify with your man for better or worse. Your steadfast love stimulates hope and stamina for my human inefficiencies. By your example, I have learned that even though we’re not perfect, we’re perfect for each other. Thus in our love imperfection becomes perfection. Our walk with God perfects our imperfection and our imperfection struggles enable us to overcome which perfects our love one step and one day at a time.
