Back to Keeping the Commandments
Dear Eve,
It has been said that the Ten Commandments of God are not the Ten Suggestions. Many in the present generation are of a mind that disregards the laws of God. The commandments were given to the stiff necked people of God to provide a benchmark for their personal thoughts. They were to align their will with the absolute law of God in place of the subjective and vascilating law of man. The book of Judges says that ‘in those days every man did what was right in his own eyes’ pointing out that the law of God as given through his servant Moses was already the ten suggestions or maybe the ten guidelines. After all how could God (omnicient and omnipotent) know the trials of daily life on earth? God actually gave an owners operating manual for mankind. Follow these laws and sin not (pervert Gods’ law) that you might find yourself worthy of audience with God in prayer, communion and worship. The word says ‘if a man doesn’t keep my law, I won’t hear his prayer.’ Again it is written, “Be not wise in your own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.” Again the Word says, ‘trust in the Lord with all your heart; lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.’ Sin to the spirit is the material equivalent of pouring sand in the crankcase (oil) of an engine, which is quick and certain devastation and that without remedy. We find that the physical and spiritual engines which run sumultaneously within us only run efficiently when we get back to keeping the ten commandments.
The love of our almighty God be with you, Kochany
