The Comfort of You
“Rise up, O LORD! May Your enemies be scattered; may those who hate You flee before You.”
My dearest Eve,
We’ve grown accustomed to peace and tranquility when we are together. Having you close to me is the most unexplainable expectancy for good, happiness, hope, promise, purpose, peace and tranquility. Our togetherness is singleness of mind, dedication to our dreams, contentment in our accomplishments and acceptance of the full promise of the Most High God in our daily walk in His Way in Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith. It is absolutely true that my life is summed up in the comfort of you. There is comfort in true love. It bubbles up in those times when we brush against each other in the kitchen, me making coffee and you preparing breakfast. It flows like a gentle stream as we drive together to visit family or friends. It pools like a retaining pond when we sit together on the couch after dinner and spills over to anoint us in the sweet bliss of completeness in the comfort of you. This is Gods’ work, exactly like He planned it. In our comfort there is creativity and inspiration toward our God, you and us. I love you my Eve. You do inspire me. Let me share a song of love with you.
Always comfortable with you, my darling, Kochany
The Day God Gave Me You, Words and music by Randy Suits. Copyright: 2021
I knew the day we met I’d fall in love with you,
As I felt our hearts exchange a kiss or two.
It was only your for me and no-one else would do,
I would never ever want for someone new.
bridge:
I saw it in your eyes, I knew you loved me too,
I’m a man alive, in love, with hope renewed.
I’m so thankful, I’m so happy, No-one else could do,
What God did for me the day He gave me you.
Devotion made our love grow strong, our hearts beat true,
My heart would bounce when you came into view.
Each night I’d lay awake and hope you missed me too,
I’d thank God for just the chance of knowing you.
bridge:
Then glory of all glories, our God gave me you,
And He filled my empty life with love complete.
He’s the kindest of all fathers, no-one else could do,
What God did for me the day God gave me you.
