Our Ship of Love

The sea of life will toss us about and cause consternation. Our love is like a ship in which we safely and confidently navigate to accomplish our dreams, plans and expectations. Our voyage began with simple plans and boundless hope that new love brings. We launched at the pier of marriage with well wishing family and friends seeing us off and bidding adieu. We set off into the uncharted seas of family, finance, health and our place in the world. Then we sailed into the deep waters of distress, worry, uncertainty and inexperience. We looked to our Lord in faith and to each other in love and trust. Our compass was Christ and our destination was heaven on earth. With our God and one another, we have found heaven on earth. All those who are to share eternity with the Lord Jesus Christ in heaven are certain to have a taste of it in this life. We are on a daily cruise in our ship of love. We share a first class cabin. Where Christ, our captain, charts our course will always be acceptable to us. I like my life with you. We will abide safe and content in our ship of love.
