Yesterday When We Dared to Believe

Remember the fun we had at lunch when we went to Dock Side dogs on Lake Michigan? I also recall that tasty barbeque we would pick up and take to the park not far from work. My favorite was probably the English Sandwich shop in Lake Bluff which we still frequent with the map of the London underground and a picture of Princess Dianna on the wall. At that stage of our romance we were so enamored with each other that whatever site we chose for a bite to eat was right for the moment. But in reality it was us who were right for every moment at where ever it happened to occur. We harbored no doubts or fears, believing, even knowing that we could fill each splendid second of companionship with pure love. The gleam in your eyes caused excitement and spurred me on to please you as you pleased me. There were many circumstances that could have proved a barrier to a lifetime relationship but we dared to believe that it was not an accident that God brought us together and that if we stayed the course He would lead us to that which He planned for us. I thank our precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for giving us faith and belief in him and each other. He also dared to believe that his holy Father would raise him from the dead and also that his disciples, friends and family plus future generations of believers (that’s us) would believe and receive him and life eternal. Kochana, let us continue to trust him to guide and direct our steps as we walk daily with Him. Today let us continue in our faithfulness to one another just like yesterday when we dared to believe and received the gift of his love and a joyful, meaningful relationship together.
