Staying with Me and Getting Us Back on Track

We’re driving north on Florida Interstate 75 returning from our stay in Tampa. I’ve just missed my turn onto CR 6 to visit friends and a quick look in my rear view mirror reveals my Ewa following in the rental car. After driving a couple of miles looking for an exit, my cell phone rings. That will be Kochana. “You missed the Parrish exit,” she says. I tell her that the last time I exited one exit too early and so I tried to correct that error this time but missed our exit again. She reminded me, “You also missed the CR 6 exit on our last visit in August.” I remembered that she was right again. Ouch! That hurts. I assured her that we would turn around at the next exit and return on the southbound lane. I contemplated how my Kochana followed me past CR 6. She could have proceeded to our friends’ home while I turned around. That’s not my Ewa. When she takes you into her heart, you’re loved, protected and watched over. She will always take it upon herself to assure that we stay together and arrive at the same time. When she corrects the record, she is careful to preserve my integrity. What a prize this woman is to me and everyone blessed by her influence in our daily lives. She followed me past the correct exit instead of turning off, taking it upon herself to deliver us both to our destination. She also stands by me when I make mistakes. Knowing her faithfulness causes me to rely upon her in all circumstances. She can always be trusted to make choices in our best interests. She lives, breathes and exists in us and I love her for that. Staying with me and getting us back on track is one of a many ways her love envelops me and us.
