It is written, “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord”. The Lord God made man in His image.  Gen 2: 15-17 The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree of the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for in the day you eat of it you will surely die.”  (Gen: 21-24) The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him” So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s rib’s and closed up the place with flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken from the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said’ “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of me.” For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united with his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

We can see that the Most High God gave us a free will, like his own, to make decisions in our lives. That freedom is conditioned on eating only of the trees of the garden. The garden is a controlled environment that has only life giving spiritual food in it. The tree of knowledge of good and evil is devoid of LIFE. God is very specific and easy to understand. There was the tree of Life and a tree of death (absence of life). This is the decision we make when we deliberate to align our imperfect will with Gods’ perfect will or to implement our own will apart from the Life we can only receive when we are in the presence of the source of all Life. Apart from God there is no Life. Apart from God there is no real freedom for we become slaves to sin (all decisions outside of God’s perfect will).

This book of letters promulgates the blessings, peace, comfort and happiness that can only be enjoyed in a marriage when every effort is made to follow the teachings and law of God by always aligning our wills with the will of the Most High God in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. In this way, we spiritually eat of the tree of Life in all that we think, say and do.
