What Is the Time at the North Pole
My deep thinking wife Eve,
There are two places on earth where you can only look in one direction, the North Pole and the South Pole. This unique location at either end of the earths’ axis is the point where all 24 meridians (time zones) intersect. This brings to mind an even more perplexing question. What time is it at the north pole, since anyone standing exactly on the point of intersection of all 24 time zone longitude lines is standing at the end of time. The ancient Israelites believed that the Most High God resided in the north. If it is the home of God, then there is no time there. Time was a dispensation allotted to sinful man to overcome his sinful nature through the coming of the Son of God to redeem the lost and restore all who receive him as Lord and Savior. Could this North Pole represent the very throne and mountain of God. The spirit world does not exist as an unreal ‘ghostly’ realm, but a series of very real dimensions – some more real than the subatomic – electromagnetic dance of the “material world.” The Bible challenges the superstitious belief of a purely ethereal spirit world by setting up a hierarchy of realms. For example there is Sheol (the abode of the dead), the Earth, Heaven, and the very highest- the throne and mountain of God. The Bible speaks of the Sides of the North as being a holy realm, which is above all and something our physical mind cannot understand – a transcendent place. It is far more than a mountain; in fact the great mountains of earth are only limited “models” or facsimiles to Zion (the mountain of God), like the way a simple paper airplane “models” a super-jumbo airliner. Psalm 48:1-2 says, ‘Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised In the city of our God, In His holy mountain. Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, Is Mount Zion [on] the sides of the north, the city of the great King’. The archangel who rebelled against God pledged in his pride to ascend to this realm: Isaiah 14:12-15 “How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation, On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit’. Instead of a lofty dimension, God casts this being into the lowest abode. The Bible has much to say about the landscape of the complex hierarchy of the spiritual realm that is unseen to us, yet affects nearly everything on this earth, from personal lives to geopolitical realities. Above all this reality is God, who sent his son to redeem us from being continual victims of the forces of darkness and of death itself. What time is it in the North Pole? Let us consider as well, ‘what time is it on the South Pole. As the earth has a north and south pole; two timeless (eternal points), even so man was born out of eternity into the vessel of time, and returns to timelessness (eternity) through death and resurrection. Through birth we pass from eternity into the test womb of time and we live in the material world of the north, south, east, west with all points designated by longitude and latitude. Then through the matrix of death we pass into eternity and our spirit returns to the Creator God who gave it. The return of Christ is near and we are getting closer to the rapture. Christ will return to earth and take his servants out of the epoch of time to that timeless dimension of the spirit for the Angel shall declare that time shall be no more, just like the point of the north pole where time stands still and is not. Even so come Lord Jesus,
Waiting with you for His victorious return, Kochany
