We Must Love God Most of All

My most reliable friend and wife Eve,

Who do we love above all others? Can we love husband, wife, sons or daughters more than God? My Kochana, though we are devoted to each other first and foremost, we must love God most of all. All mankind begins and ends in Jesus Christ (‘I am the alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end’). Our human moment is a short span between the beginning and the end of human existence which is contained and has being in the only true God who is eternal, having no beginning or end. God loves us so much that He guides and instructs us daily to prepare our eternal self (spirit) for that new day eternal when our wills always align with the Most High God and our thoughts always attuned to His thoughts in perfect harmony with His eternal precepts and intents. The trials, tests and traumas we experience are allowed by a mindful Holy Father who, when we realize that He is the only solution, delivers us and our loved ones at the point of our need in the moment of desperation. The widow of Zarephath is an example of this. God had miraculously provided for Elijah the prophet, her son and herself through the seven year drought. Each day she reached into the jar of flour and jug of olive oil and found enough flour and oil to feed the three of them. God was building her faith for daily temporal needs. God was about to instruct her in the eternal power of his might. She had come to trust in the prophet but she had not yet come to know his God as Almighty. When in the course of time, her young son died, she realized that only God could resurrect him. She wisely gave her son to the prophet (the first step is giving the problem to God in faith). Then she waited and prayed while the prophet appealed to God for the life of the boy to return to him. God heard the prayer of his prophet and the widow. The son coughed and returned to life. From this we learn that only God can keep and protect us, not another human being. To love God first and most is to love our earthly true love the to most of our capability. The love of God spills over into every aspect of our life making us the best that we can be and bringing out the best of those we love. There have been occasions when I called on our Holy God to watch over you to protect and keep you. To the best of my ability I watch over and protect you but I know that the keeper and protector of Life is God. He is always with you and at times we must be apart. He alone is trustworthy to keep all that we have given over to His unfailing care. God knows how vulnerable we are in our concern for family and dear friends and he places a hedge about all His chosen. He has placed a hedge about us to keep us together, safe from harm. May we always remember to give thanks and praise for we must love God most of all.

I hold you in my arms because God holds us in His heart,Kochany
