All Gods’ Promises Come to Pass
Hi Kochana, thank you for being,
The book of Genesis records the account of Jacob when he took a wife. He fell in love with Rachel. She had an older sister named Leah. Laban, their father, promised Jacob he could have Rachel as a wife. On the wedding night, he gave Jacob as a wife, Leah instead. When confronted by Jacob, Laban said that the oldest sister must be given in marriage first. He did, however, consent to give Rachel to Jacob as a wife also, if he worked another 7 years for her. This scripture exhibits the concepts of the law and the promise. The first Adam was the law but Jesus Christ, the second Adam, was the promise. The law was the precursor to the promise (fulfillment) of God. When the law failed (Adam sinned), God gave a promise. He would send a savior to redeem all who would turn to him in faith and receive him as their personal savior. Jesus Christ, the second Adam, completed the law and did so without sin. This was the new law of promise. (It is written, ‘He makes all things new’.) He made us new when we accepted him as our Lord and Savior. He also made our lives new when He brought us together. We each lived under the law of relationships waiting, longing for a complete and fulfilling union. We were looking for the promise when we met. The law of intimate relations was empty apart from the fulfillment that was ours when we were together. We give thanks because all His promises come to pass. It is time for the birth of the man child prophesied in Revelations 12:11. We believe and seek that child of promise who will usher in the final chapter of the restoration of man in perfect union with God the Creator. He has a role for us in the coming of the man child. We know this is true because all Gods’ promises come to pass.
May God grant you peace, health and joy, Kochany
