It is an amazing phenomenon, that we could be alone, as it were, in the midst of a crowded, gyrating, swinging, swaying and spinning dance floor crowd, completely unaware of other couples as romantically entwined like us. We were tired after a day on the beach. You, as usual, swam in the warm Caribbean water with the fish with your snorkel while my pleasure was relaxing on the beach and watching you explore the underwater world  of Cocoa Cay Island which had a submerged plane, boat and cannon. We ate barbecue and burgers on the island and returned to the ship to lounge around the pool on deck eleven, slipping into the whirlpool for half an hour before returning to our room to dress for a formal dinner at Claude’s Dining Room. After an 8:30 PM dinner we strolled on the promenade deck and as we passed the Bolero (an onboard concert, music and dance floor) we heard seventies Disco Music and stopped to watch the fun and festivities. We were caught up in the excitement so we went inside and joined the group which circled the dance floor.  In the thrill of the moment, our eyes met and without a word we joined hands and walked out on the dance floor entranced in the oneness of being together, in love and unaware of  all the activity around us. You were beautiful and the sight of you swaying and spinning before me in your stunning black dress, in and out of my arms, was intoxicating.  That’s when it occurred to me that no matter how long a relationship endures, you can’t out live true love. Love is a konstant because it is truely a perpetual experience. Our love is so much like the love of God Most High. Of a truth, God modeled the love of a man and woman after His love of that first couple (and every succeeding couple in perpetuity) in the Garden of Eden, when He decided to fashion them and us after His flawless nature (let us make man in our image).  The joy of our cruise is a microcosm of the universe of  peace and pleasure our Holy Heavenly Father has given us on earth. It is a foretaste of the eternal joy and happiness we shall know in the presence of the only true God and His Holy son, Jesus Christ, as we live forever in a perfect love which we will never outlive. His love is always within us, upon us and around us just like our love for each other.  Let us be grateful for this revelation, brought to light by our time alone together in the dance floor crowd.
