Beautiful Feet

My darling Eve,

You noticeably walked in pain this morning. You never complain so it was rare when you asked if she should see a physician. The sight of swelling in your lovely foot touched my heart and reminded me of a reference to feet in the Word of God. It is written in Isaiah 52:7, “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!” In this verse the mountains represent the high places of God where the Father of Lights meets and communes with us in sweet conversation, prayer and meditation. Feet are considered by many as the least comely part of our external body. But regarding the body of Christ (the church) the appostle Paul said in 1st Corinthians 12:24, “…. our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it”. Feet are a good example of necessary parts given much honor because of the great benefit they provide. The work they perform requires structural soundness much more than beauty as oposed to the face. You have beautiful feet. In love you walk in harmony with our Lord Jesus Christ and minister to the needs of both our Lord and me. The paths of your footsteps always spring from pure and righteous intentions. Jesus bathed the beautiful feet of his disciples the day prior to his crucifixion. He saw the loveliness of the feet of those beloved men whom He called friends. They would proclaim the message of Jesus Christ and the coming of the Kingdom of God for the redemption of man and restoration of his reign on earth. You, my Kochana, have sweet feet. How blessed am I that your beautiful feet walk with me in our walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.
