Cooking in a Silver Skillet
Dear Eve, my culinary queen,
When my Kochana cooks she uses the complete set of pots and pans in the kitchen. When it comes to preparing delicious meals, my Eve is more than a chef, she’ an artist. No-one could argue that anyone who sets a table with food fit for royalty can be faulted with using every utensil necessary to achieve her culinary expertise. She settles into her kitchen like an airline pilot taking the controls of his plane. She’s in charge, on course and at ease with the task at hand. She is so focused on meal preparation that she doesn’t notice when I come into the kitchen. She moves quickly so I must stay out of her way as she moves about with hot pans, boiling pots and sizzling skillets. If I try to wash some of the utinsels for her, she prefers to wash them herself. There is never room for two cooks in the kitchen. Some might call her way old fashioned but I just call it Eve’s way. The kitchen is filled with the scent of herbs to tantalize the olfactory and stimulate hunger. I love your cooking my Kochana. I’m just glad that occasionally I can prepare a meal for us. Usually it’s take out chinese or pizza, but it’s quick and tasty. Let’s face it, Kochana, you do your cooking in the kitchen utensiles but I do my cooking in a silver skillet.
Always happy to eat your cooking, Kochany
