Elusive Dreams – Self Deception

Eve, my dream come true,

Everyone dreams. Being a product of the subconscious, dreams are not subject to the restraints and realistic parameters of the conscious condition in which we move, interact and think. Often we day dream. We imagine idyllic situations, circumstances and unaccomplished goals in which we savor success and revel in praise or elation which draw attention to ourself and/or fulfill desires, hopes and plans we hold dear. We fantasize and imagine the happiness we are certain to experience. These are only fleeting imaginations of self aggrandizement and selfish imaginations, centered in self, rooted in self but hopelessly void of the mind of God. Dreams are elusive. The realization never rises to the level of our expectation. Those dreams which come true leave us wondering, ‘Is that all there is?’ Why? Because since we are created in the image of God, we find that we are in a paradigm. The real satisfaction is only achieved in agreement with God. We cannot be truly happy without Him. Those dreams given by God, however, can and do satisfy us for they glorify God and we also share in his glory as His children. In the dream of Nebuchadnezzar, the pagan king saw the kingdoms of this world as a towering work of art, impressive in size, value and grandeur. God sees the same kingdom as bizarre, unnatural beasts, terrifying in aspect and behavior. Where man sees a stately, glittering tribute to himself, God sees a menagerie of aberrations. Daniel correctly interpreted the dream for he sought the mind of God in prayer. The king glorified himself but Daniel, a servant of God, glorified the Most High God. Let us learn from the failures of men and look to our Holy Heavenly Father for the true meaning of life and the fulfillment of our God given dreams. God gives us good dreams. He intends to bring them to fruition to His glory and our joy. My dear Ewa, you are a dream come true which completes me and us (the Lord God Most High, you and me). This is not an elusive dream or self deception. God gave us to each other and what God gives is real. It will persevere and endure through all the trials and tests in our lifetime. He promised us through the words of His Son Jesus Christ, “Be of good cheer. I have overcome the world. I will be with you until the end of the world.” It is good to dream for the things of God and us.

Living our dreams with you to glorify our God Most High,Kochany
