Giving Thanks in All Things

My Eve, for whom I give thanks daily,

So little goes as planned or expected but the appostle Paul instructs us to ‘give thanks in all things.’ This goes against human nature but it becomes easier each time we overcome disappointment and assume a grateful spirit. When our plans fall short of expectations, I always give thanks because my walk with Jesus Christ has taught me that the Most High God will always glorify his name through every situation. At times it seemed impossible but we learn that we can give thanks through tears of grief as well as moments of elation. We find that this is only possible by the active strength of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Each event in our existence is a teaching moment as God developes our charachter in preparation of the eternal day of our reward in heaven. Having you to share each day with me makes it easier to give thanks in all things. Many times we have given thanks for a day which brought trial or disappointment. Thank you for your love and tender spirit which sets the stage for giving thanks in all things.
