Golden Gate Bridge

My Eve, who walks beside me and believes in our God, me and us,

San Francisco, home of the Golden Gate Bridge, is also known for earth quakes and the potential for devastation. Built on a fault, San Francisco has prospered in spite of the daily risk of yet another seismic event. That a city would be established 200 years ago before knowledge of the fault is understandable , but why would people continue to settle in and build up a city in the years after the 1918 catastrophe. Mans’ answer is building stronger structures to withstand these severe earth shaking events. History has proven over and over again that man is no match for the forces of nature or the judgement of God which is often the driving force of devastation and death. The natural man likewise builds his life on the fault of sin and foolishly expects to escape the certain consequences of living apart from God. The Golden Gate Bridge is the scene of many suicides. Living apart from God is suicide as well. The destiny with the second death is certain. It is written, ‘all men are destined to die’, but Jesus told us, ‘fear not losing our life in service to Him and the work of God the Father, but rather fear Him who has power over the second death (after the great white throne judgement). Our daily walk and talk with God in Christ the Son is the only way (golden gate bridge) to life eternal. Let’s boldly approach the throne of grace in Jesus Christ our Savior to life eternal. God has graciously given us these few days on earth to draw near and become one with Him in Jesus Christ His Son. Let us walk together in this life in joyful expectation of that eternal day when we will enjoy all the benefits, pleasures and possibilities God planned for us before the foundation of the world.

Loving you more today than yesterday, Kochany
