I Dreamed a Dream

My Sweet Ewa,

Even as a small boy, my mind would slip into an ethereal vision of the beautiful woman who would complete, compliment and fill my expectations and needs. I waited, ever seeking, ever yearning, ever impatient for her appearance. When she was brought to me, I knew her at once. It was awkward and unsettling but at last she was here. When she spoke my name the feeling on oneness and belonging to and with her prevailed. She had instant authority with me and I liked it, felt at ease with it and wanted more of it. She had power with me because she loved me and I perceived and received her love instantly just as she perceived and received my love. It was as if each day the dream was renewed for it didn’t end when we met. That was only the beginning. After all these years, the dream still lives. Every new experience, all unexpected challenges and any happy occasion are a bounty of living fruit for us to eat of together. I dreamed a dream and you gave birth to the reality of the dream, when first your smile captivated me. I needed the dream to bring us together. Now that you are mine and I am yours the dream perpetuates itself in us. For now the dream is no longer mine but it is ours. Our dream lives in us and we live in it, for our dream has become the reality that is we as one. I loved you yesterday, I love you today, I love you tomorrow and I want you forever. I dreamed a dream and we are the dream come true.
