Newer Than New

Kochana,
The best description of our love is ‘newer than new.’ How is that possible? When we returned to school as children for the succeeding school year, we looked forward to the smell of those new books and crayons. The scent of a new car identifies it as new, but nothing can be newer than new, except that is, our love. The newness of the physical comes only with a product fresh out of the box, an automobile right off the assembly line, a home just constructed and inhabited for the first time, and all other moments of origin as a good ready for consumption.
Kochana, with us each succeeding day brings newness of hope, happiness, delight, kisses, hugs, excitement, expectation, planning and the list goes on and on. Only in love can the condition of newer than new occur, and we can attest to the newer than new lightness of the routine which without the newer than new condition of our love would be ordinary and mundane. I love each moment with you, for mundane with you is newer than new. I close my thought with this line from a song in the book and musical  ‘Every Day’s a Holiday’. ‘Sweeter than violets, Kissed by the Dew. Stroll through the hedge of roses, Thinking of you. Fairer than springtime, Newer than new, Grander than I can imagine is one precious moment with you.’

In Christ we experience newer than new, I love you, Kochany
