Oh Happy Day

Eve, my greatest source of earthly happiness,

It was indeed a happy day when I met you, my sweet Kochana. A Christian spiritual song sums up my feelings and great happiness in our Savior Jesus Christ, what He has done for each of us individually, all He has provided for our love and life in the past and now as one flesh, and every certain promise we will fulfill in days to come to His exceeding glory and to our happiness and benefit. As a young boy we sang the simple yet profound lyrics of this traditional song at church during our worship services. We sang looking forward to the fulfillment of the promised joy and peace not knowing that much of the happiness He gives is realized in the union of a man and woman which Father God ordained in the garden of Eden when He brought Eve to Adam and said, “for this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and the two shall become one flesh”. Thank you, my Eve, for being one with me in this world . The words of the song lift praise and thanks to the Most High God and His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

O Happy Day

‘Oh happy day,
Oh happy day;
When Jesus washed
He washed my sins away!

Oh happy day,
Oh happy day;
When Jesus washed
He washed my sins away!

He taught me how to watch
and fight and pray
And live rejoicing every day.

Oh happy day,
Oh happy day,
When Jesus washed
He washed my sins away’.

It is the basic principles in our lives which define our charachter so let us thank God that when He brought us together, He strengthened us with His presence in our marriage. We are secure in His Way for we are Gods’ property and as the apostle Paul said, “if God is for us, who can be against us?” Every day with Jesus is a happy day and sweeter than the day before, and every day with you, my Kochana, is a happy day and sweeter than the day before. It was and is Gods’ plan for us to be together. Let us lift up our hearts, minds and souls in thanks and praise to our Heavenly Father for He is worthy of praise and is most holy. In each new day our loving God gives us together, let us lift up our voices in unison, “Oh happy day!”

Enthralled in love for our God and you, Kochany
