Our Love Will Always Prevail

A letter about my Eve,

I like to watch her walk ahead of me with her gentle sway, light bouncy step and selfless display of femininity that thrills me to the core of my masculine being. Her eyes are alive and ever watchful for unique rock formations, eye catching flower gardens and children playing in the sand on the beach. We have had our share of challenges in our relationship but love and truth have cemented our union and overcome every obstacle, barrier and objection to our life together. We know that God doesn’t make mistakes and he brought us together. When we are unsure or confused we pray to the all knowing Lord of Hosts and we find His way. Our basis is love and truth. She is my true love as I also am her true love. The tyrants of doubt, and uncertainty have mercilessly assaulted us individually and as one. Those despots fall quickly when the two edged sword of truth and love slice and hack it into submission. Those love murderers, self love and pride, are smashed like a mountain pounded by the fist of God and reduced to dust by the love which God gave us. In God the apparent weak things always over power the seemingly strong, impregnable objects. Jesus Christ said, “you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free,” and again he said we are to “worship in spirit and in truth”. Let us give thanks for the truth and love which our Lord planted in our relationship knowing that His way with us will never fail. As Mahatma Gandhi said, “When I despair, I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it–always.” Gandhi was a spiritual man who was instrumental in the independence of India. He also understood that the proponents of power and evil always submit to righteousness. Because we look to our God in love and truth, our love will always prevail over the weapons formed against us.
