Every day a continual onslaught of gloom, misery, hopelessness and tragedy fills our newspapers, dominates our conversations and clouds our hopes for the present and our future. Modern man has escalated the use of mass media to promote personal greed and increase power of the few in the domination of the many. This is a time of confusion conceived in ignorance of eternal truths and the Law of the Most High God. Our educational systems have replaced Godly precepts with the laws of man. Eternal concepts of our Creator are stripped of every holy doctrine of the Word of God which gives eternal life to believers in Jesus Christ, our resurrected Savior and redeemer. Prayer has been removed from our schools and public institutions leaving a vacuum of knowledge that enables evil, and the lies of satan, the devil, to shackle young minds in ignorance. It is written, “my people die for lack of knowlege.” The godless leaders of our world are rewriting laws of man in an attempt to blot out those real and indelible ordinances of an all powerful God of truth and love who will not and cannot be ignored or defeated. Our world has essentially turned its back on the Creator God who in love made man in his own image and the earth for the home of man. In essence, rebellious man is handcuffed by the works of his hands, pride and ignorance. The wicked see the enlightened of God as enemies of the state. Those who cannot be deceived are a threat to the shaky political and cultural status quo. In times like these where can the faithful servants, brothers and sisters in Christ find a safe haven? We find our haven in the same God who has protected and hedged in his children since the fall of man. We learn in the book Job that satan cannot lay a hand on us without the approval of God. God asked satan, “Have you considered my servant Job. There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and turns away from evil.” Satan replied, “Does Job fear God for nothing? Have you not put a hedge around him, his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. But now stretch forth your hand and strike everything he has and he will surely curse you to your face.” The Lord said to satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.” Then satan went out from the presence of the Lord. From this passage we learn that our enemy, the devil/satan, can only advance upon the godly if God allows him. God places a hedge about his children. We have been hedged about from before the foundation of the world. God is not deceived. He knows from our birth who are His. Though he is creator of all, He is Father only to those who walk in Godly precepts and worship him in holiness, righteousness and truth. He has opened our understanding, taught us His ways (they shall be taught of God) and given us wisdom to navigate the treacherous thought traps that would entangle us in foolishness, mental and spiritual slavery and separation from God (death). My Kochana, our safe haven is Jesus Christ our Lord, Savior and Brother. We have looked to him and followed in his footsteps which lead to the Father of Lights and gives us eternal life. The Word of God tells us in John 17:3, “This is eternal life, that they might know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.” We know Jesus Christ as our personal savior and He (who is in the Father God) is our safe haven. Let us always remember and never forget that He will deliver us from all harm, danger and entrapment if we are wise, obedient and faithful (Behold, I send you forth as sheep among wolves; so be wise {shrewd} as serpents and innocent {harmless} as doves.” Let us also always remember (and never forget) that our love is a safe haven which provides safety, strength and confidence in times of trouble. God gave us one to another that we might be one in good times or bad, happiness or sadness, prosperity or poverty. Of a truth, our primary safe haven is in God Most High in his Son Jesus Christ and each other second. As the love of God hedges us about from the onslaughts of the wicked one and his servants, our love, one for another, hedges us about and protects us from ungodly temptations and devices of the agents of evil.
We can be confident and know that only those trials which make us stronger and draw us closer to our God will be allowed to come upon us. Let us fear nothing for God, His son Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and our God given love is our safe haven.

Confident in all our blessings and promises of the Most High God, Kochany
