She Needs Me

Every healthy marriage is steeped in trust, understanding, touching, sharing, intimate knowing, faith and God. All these attributes make us one and evolve because we become more ‘one’ as each day passes. Life is fun, days are filled with joy, our cup of blessing is ‘packed down, shaken together and running over’, as described by our Lord Jesus Christ. At the root of all this ‘bounty of the full manifestation of the love of God’ is not only a God shaped void in our soul for our Heavenly Father, His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, but also a constant ‘presence’ of that one true love of our life which can only be filled by our spouse who completes, nourishes and finishes the physical, mental and spiritual desires of our earthly life. I find that her happiness and worries must be met to find inner peace. Did not a loving God give her to me to care for as He would? Yesterday she called and I heard need in her voice and my soul felt her pain. I knew in my heart ‘she needs me’. I also need her. God brought her to me as a breath of fresh air but in the life we have shared together she has become, as it were, the air I breathe. Holy Father be not jealous because I love her to this degree. She can never take your place nor would she want to take your place. She loves you and we both agree that you are our King and best friend now and eternally. You made her in such a manner that I had to love her. I received her as a gift from you. Your servant gives thanks that you are able to meet all her needs. She needs you more than she needs me. We trust in your tender mercies, align our wills with yours. Holy Father keep us together to the glory of your Eternal Name.
