The Love Light in Your Eyes
My precious treasure Eve,
It’s a sunshiny Saturday and we will work 8 hours today to make up for the lost day when the network crashed. No work on Sunday so the bank organized a trip to London, Fenton, Maldon and another old town in that location, for the bank staff. The consultants are to go to Glasgow, about fifty miles away. I have an ever increasing ache in my heart for you and I heard a song ‘When You Were Sweet Sixteen’ sung by an Irish band, the Furers, at the pub where we ate dinner last evening. As they sang it, the chorus was repeated several times. The lead singer asked the audience to sing along with him and it was my love for you that replayed over and over in my mind. It was written by an Englishman for his wife. Since this is my exact feeling for you, I will express my love for you with these lyrics. (I changed a few of the lyrics to glorify God and prove my devotion to you)
‘When I first saw the love light in your eyes, I thought the world held naught but joy for me. And even though we must be far apart, I’ve never dreamed but what I dreamed of you.
I love you as I’ve never loved before. Since first we met and you first spoke to me.
Come to me, ere my dreams of love is o’er. I love you as I loved you when God brought you to me. I love you as I loved you when God brought you to me.’
I must walk now but you are walking with me in my heart, mind and soul. Pray for us and me as we look forward to our grand reunion.
My arms are empty but my heart is full of love for only you, Kochany
