You stimulated my interest immediately, with your raw beauty and European accent. Because of my instant attraction, I listened intently and concentrated upon your sentences which were interspersed with mispronunciations common to immigrants learning the new national language. I was impressed by your dogged determination to communicate. I liked your accent and you knew it. I perceived that you liked me too.
Common to all courtships is the power of the voice of authority which appeals to , draws to, and demands attention without coercion. I heard with clarity because your words were music to my ears. When you spoke it was a symphony to my soul. Yours was that voice which when spoken is recognized as that sweet nectar of communication which my being wanted, needed and searched for each day. I had found you, or had you found me? Rather it was God who brought you to me. He called me to you through your soft vibrant words. I knew you when I heard you. When your love comes you will know them by their voice.
Jesus said, “My sheep know my voice.” Just as Jesus comes through the gate of righteousness, my love approaches via words that are strength and balm to me. Hers is the voice which commands my attention. God gave her that attribute and I give thanks for it. On a heavenly and spiritual level, the voice of Jesus Christ calls us and we recognize his voice and follow in perfect peace.
