Waiting for the Tide to Rise

My Eva,

In Maldon, England you can see the result of the rising and falling North Sea ocean tides. At low tide moored boats actually rest on the beach. When the tide rises, a skiff is required to row out to those same boats bobbing on the waves. We little notice high and low tide moments or events in the lives of friends and acquaintences but swings in moods, emotions and expectations can have roller coaster effects on personal outlook. Often our ship is beached at low tide when we prefer and require a fully operational vessel. This situation adds stress, when the pain or disruption of unseen trauma set upon us. The tides of life bless and curse us by design and it is only a wise captain who navigates the storms, tides and harbors safely. One who confuses low tide for high tide risks ship wreck on stones and rocks which are several feet below the keel in high tide. The lost of the world must deal with low tide moments in finite wisdom and understanding. (God has given a measure of understanding and wisdom to even the lost in his matchless grace and love) How lonely to deal with grave setbacks, losses or deaths of loved ones and have no hope of the eternal God and no knowledge of the Gratious Savior Jesus Christ who brings joy which passes all understanding, a lifting tide when the Christian ship is aground. We trust in the Captain of the Hosts of God to deliver us with the high tide of His perpetual presence to lift our grounded boat and send the gentle breezes of his love to fill the sails of our vessel. When we suffer or fear we can be found waiting for the tide to rise for Christ is our Captain and he is eternally master of the seas.

Sail with me and let us look to Jesus as our ship captain,Kochany
