Watching the Children Play – In Remembrance of Tammy
These past few days have been devastating with the passing of our daughter. Regretfully the daily letters were interrupted by two days as we set aside time for our grief uninterrupted by distractions & responsibilites. This is the one of our memories that inspired this correspondence.
My dearest Eve,
Sitting by the hotel pool with Tammy and the grandchildren, my mind slips back to a day when you, the mother of my grandchildren, were frolicking in the water. Watching Tammy’s interaction with the children reminds me of how you tenderly attended to the babies and how your mother assisted you and spoiled our children. Remembering our past labors sweetens the present pleasure as we enjoy the fruits of our labor. I love our children and I love the grandchildren but honey, I love you even more than these treasures for I remember your work and devotion to all of us who were blessed by your attentive love. You never tired and when you were exhausted, you never would quit until the work was complete. I love you because you interspersed your labor with our play for you were ever mindful of the needs of others. Thank you for the children, the grandchildren and most of all, thank you for being you. What a privilege to sit beside you pleasantly visiting and watching the children play.
Everything you did for me was good, Kochany
