Whale Watching and Having a Whale of a Time

My Eve, my earthly everything,

Though booking our Alaska Cruise and scheduling our flights was my task, you eagerly investigated the shore excursions at each stop and searched online, listening to each activity description. We carefully reviewed each possibility considering cost, scheduled ship events, dinner and which would be the most fun. (you like to thoroughly fill our vacation with fun activities!) For our Juneau stop, we chose the Whale Watching Cruise in Auke Bay. The tour bus routed us through the historic part of Juneau and our driver pointed out significant sites and local customs. At an Auke Bay dock, we boarded a two tiered sight seeing boat with an observation deck from which we could take photos and observe humpback whales, bald eagles, seals and a variety of native wild life. The day was unusual  for Alaska in that we had 100% visibility. In addition our on board naturalist was amazed that we were able to observe 17 whales  on our trip. (an exceptionally high number) When the boat stopped for whale activity you, my Eve, scurried to the top deck to snap action photos. You strategically positioned youself for the best possible shots and moved quickly when a better view presented itself. We even saw a pod of whales bubble net feeding! On our way back to shore, we observed several seals sunning on a giant buoy. We wondered how they could jump out of the water to the perch 5 to 7 feet above the sea. Of all the marvelous sights on the tour, the sight of you excitedly springing from view to view was tone of he best memories of all. The work of God in nature is spell binding but the work of the Most High in man, his greatest creation, is beyond description. In you, my darling I can see the vibrant mind of God interacting in the mind of the woman I love and He opens my understanding to His own thoughts, feelings and eternal gusto for life. He is God of all and He lives in His creation. Ever more may we abide in Him and know Him as He is that we may see Him face to face. We see Him in His creation and the coordination and compatibility of His infinite works which glorify Him and confirm His existence. Because He is I am. That day it was the Lord, Eve and the man who loves them both whale watching and having a whale of a time.
