When the Enemy Comes in Like a Flood
Eve, my warrior wife for the Lord,
The enemy huddles together, greatly perplexed and worried about the court date of the last judgement which must certainly come soon. In a last ditch attempt to unnerve their intended victim, a new legal assault is launched by yet another family member. At the root of the litigation is the inheritance given by their mother to the daughter in her last will and testament to her beloved daughter. A sibling was attempting to violate the decision his mother willfully and thoughtfully made when she set her hand to the legal document which would exercise her will with her chosen disposition of the family property. All attempts to intimidate the recipient and force a redistribution of assets had failed and that courageous stand forced a court confrontation which would be costly and final. Time was short (satan knows when his time is short) and a second frontal attach (attacks from family members are always frontal by their hurtful nature) would be launched. They would attack her flank in an attempt to discourage, intimidate and confuse their stalwart victim in one final attempt to coerce submission and legally (but sinfully) take, even steal from the deceased and faithful mothers’ view, as much of the inheritance (the victims’ property) as possible in a deliberately devised torrent of litigation. My Kochana, ‘Be strong and of good courage’, for it is written, ‘When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Lord will lift up a standard against him.’ Know that when this tide goes out you will be left with all that the Most High God, through your mothers’ will, has provided for you. All you must do is what Moses told the Israelites when they were hemmed in between the great army of Pharoah and the Red Sea, ‘Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today……….. The Lord will fight for you today; you need only to be still.’ God allows these attacks (even emboldening the foolish attackers) to defeat the enemy once and for all and hasten the end of turmoil for his chosen servants and children. Kochana, you are one of His chosen, just like your precious mother, having been baptised by Pope John Paul when he was a priest in Krakow and as such you will be blessed. Wait confidently on the Lord (for He will fight for you) for we both know that our inheritance in Christ Jesus is much more valuable than any earthly inheritance and His Way is eternal. For now, rest assured that the victory is ours in all things for ‘When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Lord will lift up a standard against him’.
Confident and expectant in His grace and love for you and us, Kochany
