Remember when the only place we could find to stay was a remodeled basement with beds barely 12 inches off the floor, extremely thin mattresses with 1″ by 4″ slats supporting the mattress on the side boards. They were single beds so we moved them side by side but the bed covers were single bed covers so we couldn’t snuggle under the same sheets like at home. We both slept well but I had some stiffness in my left hip 3 mornings. It was uncomfortable but fun. We can always find humor and pleasure in the minor or major inconveniences we face together. Wherever you are is the place for me. Then I also remember in 2006 when we went to the Indianapolis 500. We didn’t want to pay $225 a night for a hotel that week end and we slept in sleeping bags in the van. It was chilly, cozy and noisy with all the people partying around us. Again we slept soundly and it was part of the memory of that grand weekend. Thank you Kochana for your willingness to rough it with your man. You make sleeping in a van or in a college student bed a grand experience. God did a good thing when He put you in my life. To be so delicate, you can be so rough and tumble. If you are with me, anywhere we are will be home to me, because where ever you are is the place for me.
